The State Basketball Championships are three months down the road and the Knights are ready for another fight.

 

The four time state winning Knights basketball team, graduated their starting line up losing a total of 7 seniors. One of the three Juniors Hunter Reeves '19, took over the position of Point Guard this season.

 

Bundrant says that building relationships with each other, learning plays better, dialing in and becoming better shooters is what they need now.

 

"If you ask anybody on the team, our goal has always been winning state," said Luke Bobin '19. "And I know we can do it, but it just takes more time than other teams. Skeen always tells us we have the potential, and I think that’s right."

 

With only two seniors, the team this year is still very young according to Levi Bundrant '18. "We can grow more than any other team in the history since we have a higher ceiling, but as for now, we don’t have any mental focus''.

 

"The atmosphere at practices now are so much more intense, because there are so much even skill and talent throughout the program which makes it much more competitive." Bobin emphasized.

 

According to Bobin, this year a lot more Freshmen are on JV instead of C team, the team has a larger area to growth with the young players.
