Meet our Homecoming rep Joanne Yi
As Christmas 2018 reaches to its end, another annual tradition will be held on campus- Homecoming. And All of this wouldn’t be completed by ASB Homecoming Representative Joanne Yi '18.
"I hope that this year’s homecoming is full of energy, involvement, and memories… and I really want this year to be amazing for the seniors leaving, and the freshman entering, and everyone in between!" She said. To Joanne, Homecoming is the time of the year when everyone unites as one, whether you’re an elementary kid, a high school student, or an alumni. "It’s the best time of the year, with Christmas around the corner, everyone home for the holidays, and school break coming up." She added.
The planning however, started in the summer. For Yi, she focused on themes that would make it easy for the homecoming reps to make dances, videos for. "This way, we could get as much participation from the student body to make it amazing" Said Yi.
Yi loved being the homecoming rep, "There’s SO much room for creativity and big ideas. Being involved with the most spirited/hype week of the school year is so much fun because you get to think about what components to incorporate that will get the whole school involved."
Along with the help of ASB, Dr. Troutman, and Mr Anderson, the team supported each other through brainstorm, and was able to came up with many creative ideas! "We can't wait for you guys to see it!" Exclaimed Yi.
